Am Home Furniture, we take pride in delivering high-quality furniture pieces directly to your home. This Shipping Policy explains our delivery process, timelines, fees, and customer responsibilities to ensure a smooth and reliable shopping experience.
By placing an order on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1.Delivery Areas
- We currently deliver only in Gauteng South Africa.
- If you are located outside our standard delivery zones, please contact us for special arrangements and a custom shipping quote.
2. Processing & Delivery Times
- Orders are processed once full payment has been received and confirmed.
- Standard delivery timelines are within 10 (ten) business days from the date of order confirmation.
- Custom or made-to-order furniture may require additional processing time. Estimated delivery timeframes will be provided at checkout or via email.
3. Delivery Fees
- Delivery charges are calculated based on your location and the size/weight of the items ordered.
- Shipping fees will be clearly displayed at checkout before you confirm your order.
- Free delivery promotions, where applicable, will be advertised on our website or in marketing communications.
4. Delivery Method & Scheduling
- Deliveries are completed during business hours (Monday–Saturday, excluding Sundays and public holidays).
- A delivery date and time will be scheduled with you in advance.
- Customers must ensure that someone is present at the delivery address to receive and sign for the order.
5. Access & Delivery Conditions
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that delivery vehicles can access the property.
- Please confirm that stairways, elevators, doorways, or passages are wide enough for your furniture.
- If delivery is not possible due to restricted access, the order may be returned to our warehouse and additional re-delivery fees may apply.
6. Inspection Upon Delivery
- Customers are required to inspect all items upon delivery.
- Any visible damages, defects, or missing items must be reported to the delivery team immediately.
- Once the delivery note is signed, ownership and responsibility for the items transfer to the customer
7. Delays
- While we make every effort to meet delivery timelines, unforeseen delays (such as supplier issues, transport disruptions, or natural events) may occur.
- Am Home Furniture is not liable for delays outside of our reasonable control but will communicate updates promptly.
8. Failed Delivery Attempts
- If a scheduled delivery cannot be completed due to the customer not being available or restricted access, a re-delivery fee may be charged.
- Orders not accepted within a reasonable period may be canceled and refunded (less any applicable fees).
9. International Shipping
At this time, Am Home Furniture does not offer international shipping. Customers outside South Africa may contact us to explore potential arrangements.
